Foodcom in Krakow – combining tradition with modern business

TABLE OF CONTENTS

It is no coincidence that Foodcom’s next office was established in Kraków. The city has a rich intellectual heritage and is growing in importance as a center of modern business. With its strong academic base, access to international talent, and proximity to the markets of Central and Eastern Europe, Kraków offers unique conditions for the development of international trade.

“Krakow is a place where knowledge matters and good ideas quickly turn into concrete actions. This is exactly the environment we were looking for,” says Martin Urban, head of Foodcom’s Krakow office.

Our office in Krakow is not only a new point on the map, but also a strategic addition to Foodcom’s commercial network. It supports our activities in Central Europe and brings fresh energy and perspective, enabling us to respond more quickly to the needs of local markets.

Trade with heart and mind – Krakow on the CEE map

The opening of the Krakow office is a response to the growing importance of the CEE region in global trade in raw materials. From this location, it is easier to coordinate activities with partners in the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, Romania, and Ukraine – not only because of its geographical location, but also because of common cooperation models, language of communication, and cultural similarities.

“Cooperation in this region requires flexibility and an understanding of cultural nuances. Our office is not just sales support – it is local trust and a permanent presence,” adds Urban.

The Krakow team is developing, among other things, the functional food, dietary supplement additives and plant-based products segments – areas that are currently among the fastest growing in the food industry. This is where ideas are born on how to combine the needs of producers with market expectations, while ensuring quality and transparency of cooperation.

Space for development – regardless of your starting point

The Krakow team is joined by people with experience in international trade as well as those taking their first steps in the industry. What counts is your attitude, curiosity, and willingness to learn.

Working here, you can:

  • gain practical experience in B2B sales,
  • learn about the specifics of the CEE and Western European markets,
  • develop within an international company,
  • have an impact on the product portfolio and expansion directions.

“The Krakow team is a combination of freshness and knowledge. Everyone has space to prove themselves and contribute something of their own,” comments Urban.
